Data Governance Consultant

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current data governance practices and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and standards
  • Define data ownership and stewardship roles and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data governance workflows and processes
  • Conduct data quality assessments and define metrics and KPIs to monitor data quality
  • Design and implement data governance training programs to raise awareness and promote adherence to data governance practices
  • Develop and maintain data catalogues and metadata repositories
  • Identify data security and privacy risks and implement appropriate controls
  • Monitor and enforce data governance policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data governance

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Data Governance Consultant or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and methodologies
  • Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies
  • Knowledge of data quality management practices and metrics
  • Familiarity with data catalogues and metadata management tools
  • Understanding of data security and privacy regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in the financial industry is a plus
