Our Technology Business Management Division (TBMD)/Enterprise Analytics Services Unit is currently seeking an Information Technology Specialist I (IT Spec I) to join our team and support our California Public Employee's Retirement System, (CalPERS) mission. The selected candidate for this position will have job activities that will include technical documentation, researching application logic, SQL query development, ETL programming activities include writing, testing, and tuning code, data validation activities include manual and automated review of record-level transactions to determine the quality of the data and results of the data transformations and calculations. Lastly, maintenance & operations includes keeping the lights on for the 3,500+ data integration jobs that run in the nightly batch window.

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the 3 percent reduction in pay.
