Job Description: Data Migration Specialist (SQL to MongoDB)

Overview

We are seeking a Data Migration Specialist with strong expertise in migrating structured relational data (SQL) into MongoDB. The role requires designing and aligning migration flows, ensuring smooth transformation of relational schemas into document models, and validating data integrity throughout the process.

Responsibilities :

• Design, plan, and execute data migration from SQL databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) to MongoDB.
• Align relational schemas to MongoDB’s document-based data models.
• Develop ETL workflows for extraction, transformation, and loading into MongoDB.
• Perform data mapping, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Optimize MongoDB collections and indexes for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration or integrity issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to define requirements and validate results.
• Document migration processes and provide post-migration support.

Requirements :

• 2–6 years of experience in data migration/ETL.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB (data modeling, aggregation, indexing).
• Solid understanding of schema design transformations (relational → document-based).
• Proficiency with ETL tools or scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle large-scale migrations.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
