The Opportunity

Star Systems India Private Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Science with Python Training Consultant for a critical 3-month on-site engagement in Chennai.

We are looking for an expert dedicated to empowering our students with robust, foundational skills in applying Python and its core libraries to solve real-world data science problems, covering the data lifecycle from exploration to simple model creation, as outlined in our "Data Science with Python" course.

Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant Trainer, your core responsibilities will be centered on delivering the "Data Science with Python" syllabus with hands-on, practical expertise:

• Curriculum Delivery: Conducting dynamic, hands-on training sessions with deep dives into:
• Python Libraries: Intensive instruction on NumPy and Pandas for data manipulation, analysis, and processing.
• Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Guiding students through techniques for collecting, organizing, importing, and preprocessing data to develop initial insights.
• Data Visualization: Mastering plotting and visualization techniques using libraries like Matplotlib and Seaborn to distinguish and plot various data types (box plots, scatter plots, histograms, etc.).
• Modeling Introduction: Introducing students to Scikit-learn (sklearn) for creating and evaluating simple machine learning models for predictive analysis.
• Material Development: Creating, updating, and refining high-quality training materials, challenging coding labs, and project-based assessment modules related to the Python Data Science stack.
• Mentorship & Practical Application: Providing guidance, troubleshooting code issues, and facilitating project work focused on implementing real-world data science use cases.

Requirements:

• Expertise (Mandatory): Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or Python Developer role focused on data applications. Must have deep, demonstrable expertise in Python and its core data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Scikit-learn).
• Training Experience: Proven experience in a Technical Training, teaching, or corporate mentoring role focusing on programming or data science is a significant plus.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex programming and statistical topics clearly and engagingly.
• Contract Ready: Ability to commit to a 3-month, on-site consulting engagement in Chennai.
• Career Flexibility: Individuals currently on a career break are strongly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the EdTech or corporate training sector focusing on data science tools.
• Familiarity with the Infosys Springboard curriculum structure or similar industry-standard learning paths.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
