Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Preparation:

Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from multiple FMCG sources (e.g., sales, marketing, supply chain, customer feedback).

Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and key business insights.

Machine Learning & AI

Design, develop, and deploy supervised and unsupervised learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, recommendation systems, demand forecasting).

Build and fine-tune AI-driven solutions for market segmentation, product recommendation and sales prediction.

Implement and optimize time series forecasting models for inventory and demand planning.

Business Insights & Reporting

Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders in marketing, operations, and finance.

Develop dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Python (matplotlib/seaborn/Plotly).

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with business teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate campaign effectiveness.

Partner with IT and data engineering teams to improve data pipelines and automate reporting processes.

Model Deployment & Monitoring

Deploy machine learning models using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Continuously monitor and improve model accuracy, scalability, and performance.

Education

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field .

Technical Skills

Strong programming skills in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) or R .

Experience in SQL and working with large relational databases.

Good Understanding Of AI/ML Algorithms Such As

Linear/Logistic Regression

Decision Trees, Random Forest, XGBoost

Clustering (K-Means, DBSCAN)

Neural Networks, Deep Learning

Time Series Forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet, LSTM)

Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib/Seaborn).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure ML, or GCP AI Platform).

Domain Knowledge

Understanding of FMCG business processes , including:

Consumer behavior analytics

Market basket analysis

Sales and demand forecasting

Supply chain optimization

Soft Skills

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Effective communication and storytelling with data.

Ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with A/B testing and marketing analytics .

Exposure to MLOps and version control (Git).

Knowledge of NLP or computer vision use cases in retail/FMCG.
