Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $120,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity.

Description:

The Data Scientist leverages statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and robust data analysis to uncover insights that improve business performance. This role focuses on hands-on exploration, modeling, and experimentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions. The Data Scientist is passionate about learning from data, testing hypotheses, and building foundational analytical assets that support decision-making across the organization.

Your Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

Partner with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to define metrics and identify areas for analytical impact.

Support dataset design and experiment setup in collaboration with statisticians.

Contribute to analytics standards, documentation, and data mining methodologies.

Identify linkages across data sources and propose creative new data combinations.

Acquisition & Deployment

Research analytical tools, technologies, and data sources to recommend enhancements.

Support data collection efforts and ongoing data quality improvement initiatives.

Operational Management

Build predictive models and algorithms to address targeted business problems.

Analyze large datasets to surface trends and actionable insights.

Develop visualizations that communicate analytical findings effectively.

Assist in the development of reusable tools, libraries, and automation.

Participate in testing, model validation, and change-control processes.

Partner with engineering and database teams to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications we are looking for:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

1–3 years of experience using quantitative methods to solve analytical problems.

Proficiency in Python or R; familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Experience working with large datasets and statistical modeling techniques.

Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
