Data Scientist

IntePros is seeking a Sr Data Scientist to design and build complex analytical models while helping establish foundational data and analytics capabilities from the ground up. This is an analytics-heavy, documentation-driven role in a regulated environment where accuracy, repeatability, and explainability are just as important as predictive power.

You’ll work with stakeholders to interpret data, distinguish signal from noise, and enable analytics-driven decision-making—while ensuring all work is well-documented and defensible.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, build, and validate complex analytical and statistical models

· Apply statistical, machine learning, and advanced analytics techniques appropriately

· Interpret data and clearly distinguish signal vs. noise

· Validate and explain results in a regulated context

· Focus on accuracy, repeatability, and explainability of models and insights

· Build and analyze reliable, high-quality datasets

· Establish and maintain strong data lineage and process documentation

· Support analytics-driven decision making across teams

Required Qualifications

· 5–7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles

· Strong fundamentals in:

o Data engineering concepts

o SQL (moderate to advanced proficiency)

o Data interpretation and statistical reasoning

· Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms

· Proven experience with process documentation and model validation

· Comfortable building foundational data practices from scratch

Must be willing to work onsite 4 days/wk

Nice to Have

· Exposure to ML/AI (limited use due to federal restrictions)

· Experience deploying models into production

· Familiarity with data pipelines (helpful, not required)

Additional Notes

· Cloud experience is not currently required

· This role emphasizes analytics, model quality, documentation, and governance over heavy pipeline engineering
