Position Summary:

As a member of the OSS operations team, you are responsible for helping turn data into action. To do this, you will identify and/or execute opportunities that better equip team members across the organization with the right information in accessible and prioritized ways to drive highly informed decision making and action. Areas of focus are not limited and will evolve as business dynamics change, but will generally encompass sales enablement, operational productivity, transactional efficiency, and inventory optimization to drive improved customer experience and increased shareholder returns. To succeed in this role, you will need to implement and drive adoption of new and existing technology/tools, inclusive of SOPs, best practice sharing, training, etc. You will also need to be highly skilled at harvesting, synthesizing, and publicizing data from various business systems. This position will report directly to the VP of Operations.

Work location: Preferred- Hybrid role in Bay Area or LA County/Fullerton; Potential to be fully remote with required travel ( up to 20%) for the right candidate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following: other duties may be assigned)

  • Create and maintain extensive reports/dashboards comprised of company data within SharePoint environment.
  • Obtain, analyze, and publish extensive data regarding sales, purchases, and inventory as well as performance metrics for key customers, vendors, and internal management.
  • Work with internal business units and key customers to develop effective web reporting.
  • Perform opportunity analysis of future business projects.
  • Analyze ongoing business requirements across projects and business units.
  • Support the development and execution of customer training materials and programs.
  • Perform extensive data collection and analysis, statistical model building, and documentation.
  • Provides support for Request for Proposal (RFP) pricing process
  • Perform database queries and configure the data in a format that Management can use to review various departments’ performance.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Travel:

Yes - 5%-10% if role is on-site/hybrid. 10%-20% if role is remote.

Compensation: Minimum $92,000 Maximum $127,000 + annual bonus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements:

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 Years of data warehousing and BI analysis experience including data analysis, report writing and/or development experience.
  • Work history if successful utilization of Excel/SQL language (data), Excel/Python/R (analysis), Power BI/Tableau (visualization)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Epicor Eclipse experience highly desired
  • BS in Finance, Economics, Math/Statistics, MIS, or Computer Science preferred
  • Familiar with SQL and databases
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel required
  • Familiar with Microsoft's Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, etc.)
  • Previous experience in the Distribution industry preferred through employment or internships
  • Familiar with at least one scripting language such as Python, R, JavaScript, etc.
