TrueLearn helps learners, educators, and institutions make high-stakes decisions about exam readiness and performance in medical education.

We are building a next-generation analytics layer that combines product analytics, predictive modeling, and AI-powered systems on top of rich, longitudinal learning data.

The Role

We are hiring a Data Scientist to drive product analytics, build data-driven systems, and apply AI to how teams and customers interact with data. This role reports directly to our VP of Data Science.

This role combines:

• Product analytics & experimentation
• Modeling & data systems
• Applied AI (LLMs and intelligent workflows)

You will work closely with our Data Analytics team, as well as product, engineering, marketing, and finance.

What You’ll Do

Product Analytics & Experimentation

• Define and analyze key product metrics
• Design and evaluate experiments (A/B tests, cohorts)
• Identify behavioral drivers of user outcomes

Modeling & Data Systems

• Build models for segmentation, retention, conversion, and revenue insights
• Develop scalable data models used across product, marketing, and finance
• Partner with engineering to operationalize models where needed

AI & LLM-Driven Workflows

• Build LLM-powered tools (e.g., natural language data querying, automated insights)
• Evaluate and improve AI outputs for accuracy and usefulness
• Integrate AI into analytics and product workflows

BI & Data Access (Looker)

• Build dashboards and LookML models
• Enable self-service analytics across teams
• Ensure consistency between BI and underlying data models

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5 years in data science or applied analytics, MS preferred
• Strong SQL + experience working with large datasets
• Experience building models (not just dashboards)
• Experience with experimentation and product analytics
• Experience with Looker or similar BI tools
• Experience using or building with LLMs / AI systems
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration

Nice to have: Python, LookML, product analytics depth, or experience in education/healthcare

Compensation Range: $110,000 - $125,000 annually.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
