We are looking for a Data Scientist (Credit Risk) to be part of our growing team in Turkey. Our mission is to build advanced credit risk models that reduce portfolio risk and support healthy growth in the fintech ecosystem.

What’s special about this position?

In this role, you will develop and improve end-to-end credit scoring (PD) and credit limit models for SME loans, reducing portfolio risk through NPL (non-performing loan) prediction and supporting sustainable growth.

• Lead the model lifecycle: data exploration → feature engineering → modeling/validation → deployment → monitoring and improvement.
• Prepare and validate data in MSSQL Data Warehouse, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Align scoring and limit outputs with credit policies and business rules.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams.
• Interpret financial statements and ratios, turning them into actionable business insights.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data science, with hands-on practice in credit risk.
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM.
• Experience with FastAPI and Docker for model deployment.
• Solid understanding of statistics and statistical modeling.
• Experience with imbalanced learning and explainability techniques (e.g., SHAP).
• Knowledge of financial statement analysis and credit risk methodologies.
• Fluent in English.
