Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of the English Language Center (ELC) and the High School Dual Credit Program (HSDC), the Data Specialist performs duties relative to the day to day functioning of the department in general with special attention and time devoted to processing and maintaining information for the High School Dual Credit Program.

Assist the university in implementing the Statement of Purpose.

Assist the university in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plans.

Assist the Administrative Assistant with answering phone, voice-mail, and email for the department.

Provide the data entry for the department, including but not limited to, student applications, transcripts, AP scores, waiver letters, ACT/NACAC waivers and application fees.

Register dual credit students for classes, provide high schools with verification rosters and final grade rosters, collect any drop/add forms and withdrawal forms from high schools for processing by the Registrar’s Office.
- Collect any missing records for the high schools in order to complete student records.

Scan students and high school documents into CAMS and maintain physical files.

Maintain contact and correspondence with the points of contact (POCs) at the high schools.

Answer questions/address issues that arise or pass them along to the Director to be addressed.
Required Qualifications

Ability to use common office productivity software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Must possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, and great attention to detail

Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Must have the ability to complete multiple assignments, work independently as well as with others and possess problem-solving skills

Ability to affectively deal with a variety of situations and people

Must be able to exercise good judgment, demonstrate tactfulness and discretion at all times, and maintain confidentiality

Must be punctual and regular in attendance and able to work required hours

Must have excellent computer skills

Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, and to use standard office equipment including a computer and 10-key calculator
- Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

Must have strength and agility to move files, paper boxes, and minor office equipment

Must be able to maintain office hours and perform duties in an on-campus setting
