Join our team at the Guardian and be a part of a diverse and inclusive global organisation that delivers fearless, investigative journalism, and holds power to account. Our team of award-winning journalists, cutting-edge commercial professionals, and industry-leading digital experts are committed to making a difference and represent a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. We offer a challenging and exciting environment for career development, with a focus on training, growth and fostering an inclusive culture.
We are now looking for a Data Visualisation Engineer to join the Data team. This role plays a critical part in enhancing our in-house data platforms, combining visualisation expertise, data storytelling, and user-centred design to help people better understand and act on data.
You'll help improve how people interact with our newsroom analytics platform, Ophan, while also contributing to the design and experience of data products across our wider ecosystem. You will help shape how data is presented and explored across our products, balancing user needs, technical considerations, and business goals. While rooted in the fast-paced environment of a modern newsroom, the role offers opportunities to work on data challenges and design patterns that are highly transferable across data-rich digital products and organisations.
