About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and support our Production and UAT database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database performance, security, troubleshooting, and working closely with release teams during deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer Production & UAT databases to ensure high availability and stability.
- Manage user access, roles, privileges, and database security controls.
- Monitor database performance and perform query optimization and tuning.
- Analyze and resolve database failures, errors, and performance issues.
- Perform log analysis, troubleshoot incidents, and prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
- Work closely with the DB Release Executive for scheduled deployments and DB script execution.
- Ensure proper backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintain documentation related to database configuration, changes, and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Strong expertise in [mention DB type: MySQL / PostgreSQL / Oracle / SQL Server].
- Experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of backup/restore strategies and high availability concepts.
- Good understanding of database security, roles, and privileges.
- Experience in troubleshooting, log analysis, and incident management.
- Ability to work in fast-paced production environments.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with database monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds, OEM).
- Knowledge of replication, clustering, or cloud-based DB solutions (AWS RDS/Azure SQL).
- Experience coordinating with development and DevOps teams.
