Database Administrator - L2

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced L2 Database Administrator to join our Managed Database Services team. You will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting MySQL, MariaDB, and Percona environments for our clients, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity across both cloud and on-prem systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade MySQL, MariaDB, and Percona databases.
Manage replication (Master-Slave, Master-Master) and Galera Clusters for high availability.
Monitor database health and performance using AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and other tools.
Handle incident management through ServiceNow, troubleshooting database issues promptly.
Optimize SQL queries, manage performance tuning, and troubleshoot slow queries.
Develop backup and recovery strategies, and manage migration from MyISAM to InnoDB or cloud platforms.
Automate DBA tasks through Linux shell scripting and Terraform.

Skills & Qualifications:

3–6 years of experience with MySQL, MariaDB, and Percona.
Strong knowledge of replication, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
Experience with AWS RDS, Azure Monitor, and AWS CloudWatch.
Proficient in shell scripting and database automation.
Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
Ability to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.
