About the Role

Navancio is seeking a Database Analyst I to support a federal case management and law enforcement operations support program. The Database Analyst will help maintain, analyze, document, and improve database structures, data quality, reporting support, and data-related artifacts for a Tyler Technologies / Entellitrak-based application environment.

This role is ideal for an early-career database professional who is comfortable working with SQL, relational databases, technical documentation, agile delivery teams, and secure federal IT environments.

Responsibilities

· Support database analysis, data validation, reporting, and troubleshooting for production and lower-level environments.

· Write and tune SQL queries, support stored procedures or database scripts, and assist with performance and data quality analysis.

· Maintain data dictionaries, database specifications, data mapping documentation, and release-related database artifacts.

· Support software sustainment activities, including database changes related to approved change requests, bug fixes, enhancements, and platform updates.

· Assist application engineers, cloud specialists, QA staff, and business analysts with data research, test data preparation, and defect resolution.

· Support database backup, recovery, encryption, and security compliance activities in coordination with technical leads.

· Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical discussions, and release support as needed.

· Document database changes clearly and maintain traceability between requirements, defects, database updates, and release artifacts.

Required Qualifications

· 1–3 years of experience in database analysis, data management, data reporting, or related IT support.

· Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.

· Experience with at least one relational database platform such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or similar.

· Ability to analyze data issues, troubleshoot defects, and explain findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Experience supporting software development, sustainment, or application modernization teams.

· Strong written communication and documentation skills.

· Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a distributed team during Eastern Time core business hours.

· U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.

· Ability to complete federal onboarding requirements, which may include background investigation, fingerprinting, and obtaining/maintaining a DoD Common Access Card (CAC), if required.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Tyler Technologies / Entellitrak or another configurable case management platform.

· Experience supporting federal, defense, law enforcement, or public safety systems.

· Familiarity with AWS, AWS GovCloud, DoD CloudOne, or cloud-hosted database environments.

· Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, Git, or similar tools.

· CompTIA Security+ or willingness to obtain Security+ if assigned backend support responsibilities.

U.S. citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements. Selected candidates may be required to complete federal onboarding requirements, including background investigation, fingerprinting, annual cybersecurity training, a non-disclosure agreement, and obtaining/maintaining a DoD Common Access Card (CAC), as applicable.
