Database and Reporting Specialist

JOB TITLE: Database & Reporting Specialist

REPORTS TO: Database & Reporting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: This position requires a highly analytical candidate who is skilled in both healthcare administration and business management. Duties include organizing and managing large and varied data sets, analyzing healthcare data to optimize business operations, and communicating findings through the use of data visualization and detailed reports.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. Extended hours may be required as needed. Manual finger dexterity is needed for calculator and keyboard use. Proficiency in software and programming along with critical thinking and problem-solving skills is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field (completed or currently in progress)
  • Master's degree preferred, but not required
  • Background in handling healthcare data information preferred
  • Experience with programming languages such as SQL and Python
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake
  • Knowledge of data management applications
  • Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compiling and organizing healthcare data from different sources
  • Validating extracted data to ensure accuracy
  • Developing automated data processes to enhance efficiency
  • Understanding data storage and data sharing methods
  • Ensuring compliance with external reporting requirements in accordance with HIPAA law
  • Analyzing data to assist in delivering optimal healthcare management
  • Investigating data to identify patterns and trends, and translating findings into actionable insights
  • Leveraging reporting and presentation tools to effectively communicate findings
  • Collaborating with various departments to improve data acquisition and interpretation
  • Ongoing focus on data quality and improvement to deliver optimal results

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
