Database Systems Analyst
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To execute the donor pledge system and manage the StratusLive CRM tool. This position will work closely with the Fund Development team to create and execute donor strategies, as well as work across teams in the organization. Works closely with the fundraising team to support Donor Relations in achieving annual fundraising goals around donor acquisition, donor retention, donor growth, as well as engagement of donors and coordinators within corporate campaigns. Works closely with Marketing to align the brand with the pledging system. Serves as a point of contact for corporate partners setting up pledging sites. Works closely with the Finance Department to generate reports and assure data quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Give at Work Sites: In partnership with Corporate Managers, serves as the primary to create corporate donor StratusLive sites ensuring timely feedback to donors and internal partners. Develops process to gather requirements for online donor pledge sites aligned with UWSM procedures and policies. Coordinates and administers annual updates to the yearly donor site framework with Fund Development Team, Marketing Team, and StratusLive developers. Suggests and/or implements modifications and improvements to specific donor sites in alignment with the desires of corporate partners even if required, using photo editing software to do so. Serves as a partner with Fund Development team to provide online donor pledge site demonstrations.
2. Fund Development Database System (StratusLive CRM): Works with the Fund Development, Finance and Marketing teams to understand and enforce specifications for StratusLive CRM database. Works with StratusLive development team to build out and improve the system based on UWSM specifications. Ensures on-going enhancements are made to the pledge system. Assist with development of CRM dashboards and overall CRM troubleshooting/help. This also includes envelope facing and operating as the primary point of contact/liaison between Fund Development Team and Finance Team when pledges and payments are brought in from corporate workplace giving campaigns. Organize and train a team of other UWSM employees predominantly from the Admin team to assist with this task.
3. Data governance and practices: Documenting business practices, procedures and processes for implementing new StratusLive features to support organizational goals. Monitors efficiency and effective coordination of such. Monitor adherence to established data governance, privacy policies and procedure.
4. Other data systems and solutions: Work with other departments and teams within United Way of Summit & Medina to create and build out a comprehensive, integrated database system that further unites UWSM’s data, programs, and teams toward UWSM’s long-term goals. Develop as-needed data solutions to UWSM teams and programs. Provide technical assistance to individuals and teams with certain data tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel. Perpetually improve current processes and workflows both conceptually and pragmatically. Perform special assignments and other work, on an as-needed basis. A willingness to take on additional duties to ensure the success of the team is essential.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
1. Engagement: Participation and support in assigned engagement calendar events, marketing events, and related preparatory meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or higher academic certification in Management Information Systems or related field.
- Proficient in MS Office products with advanced proficiency in Excel, Forms, Power Automate.
- Experience with CRM use and management.
COMPETENCIES & SOFT SKILLS:
- Knowledge of relational databases, HTML, CSS, JS, SQL, and other IT capabilities required.
- Experience and interest in database, data entry and technical software preferred.
- Ability to quickly learn new software platforms.
- Understanding of and commitment to data integrity and good data hygiene.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background check, drug and alcohol screen.
- Valid driver license and proof of insurance. Access to reliable insured automobile to be used for work-related travel in Summit & Medina County area.
- Less than 5% travel.
- On-site with every other Friday remote
