Job Summary
What is your favorite memory of summer as a kid? Use that memory to inspire activities for kids aged 6-12 at our summer day camp, giving them a summer of memories as well.
Camp starts 5/26/26 and ends 8/4/26. We need full time (40 hours) and part time (20-25 hours) counselors.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games.
- Maintain a safe environment by implementing proper behavior management techniques and adhering to safety protocols.
- Lead small groups of children through planned activities while encouraging teamwork and positive social skills.
- Collaborate with fellow counselors to plan daily schedules that cater to diverse interests and developmental levels.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp programs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Strong skills in behavior management, early childhood education, and working with children of various ages.
- Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling is a plus for enriching camp activities.
- Ability to lead activities confidently while fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
- Enthusiastic attitude with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with young learners. Join us to make a meaningful impact this summer!
