Duties

• Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor games to promote active participation and enjoyment.
• Implement age-appropriate behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and respectful camp atmosphere.
• Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to safety protocols, conducting regular headcounts, and responding promptly to any emergencies or concerns.
• Assist with classroom management during structured activities, providing guidance and support to foster a nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan, organize, and execute daily schedules that include educational, recreational, and spiritual activities aligned with camp goals.
• Provide basic first aid when necessary, following established procedures to address minor injuries or health issues.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp programs is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is provided.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse groups of children confidently.
• Experience in special education or working with children with special needs is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude that encourages teamwork and inclusivity.
