Day Porter Janitor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Day Porter to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of commercial and residential spaces. Day Porter hours 8 am- 3pm part-time

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of common areas, restrooms, offices, and hallways using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
• Conduct floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces
• Handle custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and surface sanitation
• Assist with light maintenance duties including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and equipment upkeep
• Support industrial cleaning projects when required, ensuring adherence to safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas by sweeping walkways and removing debris to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal
• Monitor supply levels of cleaning materials and notify management when reordering is necessary

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or residential settings
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and facilities maintenance practices
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers and floor polishers effectively
• Experience with industrial cleaning tasks and general upkeep of large facilities preferred
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
