Daycare Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role involves supporting the provider in providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children in our daycare program. This position is permanent.

Duties

• Assist in the daily care and supervision of children aged infant to school-age.
• Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Provide individualized attention to children, ensuring their needs are met.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication.
• Assist with management and behavior guidance as needed.
• Participate in first aid procedures when necessary, ensuring the safety of all children.
• Collaborate with the provider to assess children's progress and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education or related fields such as nannying preferred but not required; minimum two years of experience in child care such as child rearing or babysitting
• Familiarity with infant care practices is a plus.
• Certification in first aid and CPR or willingness to obtain certification is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A genuine love for working with children and commitment to their growth and well-being.
• Emphasis on creating fun environment and engaging interactions with children of all ages
