Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap time to ensure comfort and safety
- Engage children in play-based learning experiences that encourage exploration and creativity
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies
- Support behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among children
- Collaborate with team members to plan activities that meet developmental milestones and individual needs
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Ability to maintain a nurturing attitude while enforcing safety protocols and behavior guidelines
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
