Daycare Assistant

Overview
Join our vibrant childcare team as a Daycare Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. In this role, you will support early childhood development by assisting lead teachers with daily activities, ensuring the well-being of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences for children of various ages
  • Support children’s emotional and physical needs through attentive caregiving, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment by following health and safety protocols
  • Observe and document children’s developmental progress to inform teaching strategies and parent communication
  • Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop social skills
  • Engage children in creative activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, music, and outdoor play
  • Collaborate with team members to plan daily schedules that promote early childhood development milestones
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and company policies related to childcare

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members
  • Ability to remain energetic, attentive, and compassionate throughout busy days in a dynamic childcare setting
