Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences for children of various ages
- Support children’s emotional and physical needs through attentive caregiving, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment by following health and safety protocols
- Observe and document children’s developmental progress to inform teaching strategies and parent communication
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop social skills
- Engage children in creative activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, music, and outdoor play
- Collaborate with team members to plan daily schedules that promote early childhood development milestones
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and company policies related to childcare
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to remain energetic, attentive, and compassionate throughout busy days in a dynamic childcare setting
