Daycare Assistant Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Supervise children closely to ensure safety and proper behavior management at all times.
• Assist with classroom organization, including setting up learning materials and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
• Engage children in play-based learning, encouraging curiosity and exploration.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily activities and progress, fostering strong relationships.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary.
• Support inclusive practices by working with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or support for disabilities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or classroom setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention.
• Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions among children.
• Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
• Passion for caregiving, early childhood education, and supporting children's growth in a nurturing environment.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
