Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Supervise children closely to ensure safety and proper behavior management at all times.
- Assist with classroom organization, including setting up learning materials and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
- Engage children in play-based learning, encouraging curiosity and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily activities and progress, fostering strong relationships.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary.
- Support inclusive practices by working with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or support for disabilities.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or classroom setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention.
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions among children.
- Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Passion for caregiving, early childhood education, and supporting children's growth in a nurturing environment.
