Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on early childhood development and age-appropriate activities for preschoolers, toddlers, and infants
- Support children with their daily routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and bathroom assistance
- Engage children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational activities that promote social-emotional skills and cognitive growth
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Observe and document children’s progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to inform classroom strategies
- Foster positive behavior management by encouraging cooperation, sharing, and respectful interactions among children
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective classroom management and seamless daily operations
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to manage classroom activities with patience, enthusiasm, and a caring attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the classroom environment
