Daycare director

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Director to lead and manage a vibrant early childhood education center. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, and foster a collaborative team of educators. Your leadership will inspire a love of learning, support developmental milestones, and maintain compliance with licensing standards. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that promote childhood development, early education, and social-emotional growth for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Supervise daily classroom activities, ensuring effective classroom management and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Recruit, train, and support staff members to maintain high standards of childcare, classroom experience, and behavior management.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety standards related to daycare operations.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication about children’s progress and center activities.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as enrollment processes, staff schedules, budgeting, and record keeping related to childcare services.
  • Promote an inclusive environment that supports working with individuals with disabilities and incorporates special education strategies when needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in daycare settings or early childhood education environments.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience as a daycare director or similar role is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children across different age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Experience in nannying or babysitting can be valuable for understanding diverse caregiving needs.
  • Familiarity with early childhood education standards, infant care practices, toddler care routines, and classroom experience is essential for success in this role. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
