Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Director to lead and manage a vibrant early childhood education center. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that promote childhood development, early education, and social-emotional growth for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Supervise daily classroom activities, ensuring effective classroom management and adherence to safety protocols.
- Recruit, train, and support staff members to maintain high standards of childcare, classroom experience, and behavior management.
- Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety standards related to daycare operations.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication about children’s progress and center activities.
- Manage administrative tasks such as enrollment processes, staff schedules, budgeting, and record keeping related to childcare services.
- Promote an inclusive environment that supports working with individuals with disabilities and incorporates special education strategies when needed.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in daycare settings or early childhood education environments.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience as a daycare director or similar role is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children across different age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Experience in nannying or babysitting can be valuable for understanding diverse caregiving needs.
- Familiarity with early childhood education standards, infant care practices, toddler care routines, and classroom experience is essential for success in this role.
