We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare professional to join our team as a Director/Group Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role involves caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Director duties will include keeping up with files and paperwork of all age groups. Will be required to work in a room(infant or toddler) as Group supervisor for about 6 hours per day. Will need to be able to open or close center when needed.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and supportive environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and ensuring their comfort.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom setting that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Monitor children's behavior and implement effective behavior management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning experience.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities to meet individual requirements.
- Maintain records of children's development and daily activities.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of first aid practices and emergency procedures.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
- Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Background in teaching or caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques tailored for young children.
