Overview
We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic Child Care Educator to join our early childhood team. In this role, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where children feel supported while developing socially, emotionally, and academically.
Responsibilities
- Foster positive social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Follow all center policies and state licensing regulations
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
- Manage classroom activities effectively by maintaining organized lesson plans, facilitating engaging lessons, and overseeing daily routines.
- Employ behavior management techniques to encourage positive conduct and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive classroom environment that promotes learning, safety, and child welfare.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address concerns transparently.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation where appropriate while fostering a love of learning.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, child welfare standards, and best practices in daycare settings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in child care or early childhood education preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and nurturing personality
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain
- EEC certification or willingness to obtain, required by state

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
