Job Summary
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Floater! In this dynamic role, you will provide flexible, high-quality care across various classrooms, supporting the needs of children from infancy through preschool age. Duties
- Assist in supervising children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support classroom teachers by helping with lesson implementation, play activities, and routine transitions
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Step into different classrooms as needed to ensure coverage during staff breaks or absences
- Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions among children
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Passion for working with children and fostering a nurturing learning environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and assist across different classroom settings
