We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Daycare Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team! As a Daycare Floater, you will support classroom teachers, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a positive atmosphere that promotes growth and development. Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Support classroom teachers with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap time, and activity setup.
- Engage children in educational activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and curiosity.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and materials regularly.
- Implement behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions among children.
- Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute age-appropriate curriculum activities aligned with early childhood education standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving role is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Classroom experience in early childhood settings or preschool environments is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in behavior management or special education is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing environment.
