Join our vibrant childcare team as a Daycare Provider, Substitute, where your enthusiasm and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children. In this dynamic role, you will provide nurturing care, support early childhood development, and ensure a safe and engaging environment for children of various ages. Whether filling in for scheduled staff or offering flexible coverage, you’ll be a vital part of creating a positive and enriching experience for every child.

Duties

  • Supervise and care for children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and development in line with childhood education standards
  • Assist with classroom management to maintain a structured, positive environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
  • Support infants and toddlers with feeding, diapering, nap times, and other basic needs while maintaining hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to plan activities that foster growth in areas such as language skills, motor development, and emotional regulation
  • Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans to ensure a secure environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding daily activities, developmental milestones, and any concerns

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse needs including toddler care, infant care, and behavior management
  • Ability to work flexibly as a substitute or floater across different age groups and classrooms
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and engage positively with children and families
  • A compassionate attitude combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for nurturing young learners
