Duties

  • Provide attentive care to children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor exploration
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence among children
  • Monitor children’s behavior using effective behavior management techniques to foster positive social interactions
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow health protocols to prevent illness or injury
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child’s progress, milestones, and any concerns
  • Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities

Qualifications

  • MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK!
  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings is highly preferred
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required (training is provided if no prior certifications) ; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to nurture patience and empathy
  • Familiarity with toddler care routines, infant care techniques, and behavior management strategies
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
  • A genuine passion for caregiving and fostering a positive learning environment for young children
