Duties
- Plan and implement engaging daily activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and educational activities to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques and behavior guidance strategies.
- Support children with diverse needs by applying specialized techniques such as special education methods or working with children with disabilities when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the classroom, toys, and learning materials to uphold health and safety standards.
- Administer basic first aid when needed and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents following established protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood development principles and inclusive practices.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childcare, toddler care, infant care, classroom experience, behavior management, and early childhood education trends.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's daily activities, achievements, and any concerns that may arise.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare settings, preschool environments, nannying or babysitting roles is highly valued.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies for infants through preschool-aged children.
- Certification in first aid is required; additional certifications such as CPR or specialized training in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively while maintaining a lively yet organized classroom atmosphere.
- Experience in caregiving roles that involve behavior management or working with students with diverse needs is advantageous. Pay: From $11.00 per hour
