Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood education principles, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction while maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Foster strong communication with children, parents, and colleagues to support child welfare and ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional adjustments.
- Maintain detailed records of children's development, attendance, and classroom activities to support ongoing learning objectives.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom management within early childhood education settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices in early intervention and special education.
- Expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children of various ages and backgrounds as well as their families.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate innovative teaching techniques like tutoring or differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
- Familiarity with classroom experience in private schools or daycare centers that emphasize child welfare and holistic development.
