Daycare Teacher

Job Summary

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood education, literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Plan engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, classroom management strategies, and inclusive practices for children with special needs or in early intervention programs.
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management techniques and individualized attention.
• Monitor and document each child's progress using standardized testing methods and observational assessments to tailor learning experiences.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support children's holistic development and welfare.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence among children.
• Support toddlers' care routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap times while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• 45 hours of training
• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori methods.
• Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
• Ability to manage a classroom environment confidently while fostering creativity and independence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.66 per hour
