Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional development.
- Create a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Engage children in activities that support classroom management, childhood development, and special education needs when applicable.
- Monitor and document each child's progress through assessments and standardized testing where appropriate, adjusting lesson plans to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, behavioral updates, and developmental milestones effectively.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that complies with childcare regulations and promotes child welfare.
- Incorporate Montessori or other specialized teaching methods to enhance early intervention strategies and literacy education.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care, preschool experience, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience in curriculum development tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention programs.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, teaching physical education, tutoring, and working with students across various age groups.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to manage behavior positively while fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood settings.
- Knowledge of childcare standards, child welfare practices, and Montessori or similar educational philosophies.
