Daycare Teacher

What You Will Do

This role helps support classrooms where help is needed most. During the summer, this position is full-time in our school-age program. During the school year, you will support before and after school care, and assist in other classrooms while school-age children are at school.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Helping with classroom activities, games, projects, and daily routines
• Supporting children during meals, transitions, outdoor play, and group activities
• Supervising children during before and after school care
• Helping with summer field trips
• Keeping classrooms, buses, and activity areas clean, organized, and safe
• Providing positive guidance and support to children
• Communicating with team members and families as needed
• Driving children to and from school or scheduled field trips as needed

What We Need From You:

We need team members who are reliable, flexible, and enjoy working with children.

• Available Monday through Friday
• Willing to help in other classrooms
• Full time availability to work within our hours of 6:00 am to 6:30 pm as scheduled
• Willing to support where needed
• Show up on time and stay for your full shift
• Comfortable being active throughout the day and lifting up to 50 pounds
• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license/Clean driving record
• Willing to safely drive a large sized vehicle for preschool & school-age children

Qualifications

• Patient, caring, and dependable
• Enjoys working with school-age children
• Able to stay organized and handle a busy environment
• Food Handler Permit
• First Aid and CPR, or willing to get certified
• Willing to complete required child care training
• At least 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record
