Responsibilities

  • Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for children in your classroom
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect among children
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan curriculum enhancements and share best practices in early childhood education
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral issues

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to nurture positive behavior and create an inclusive environment
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
  • Ability to handle physical activities involved in caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers—including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Passion for working with children and a genuine desire to support their growth and learning

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $28.14 per hour
