Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy education, early intervention, and childhood development.
• Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, classroom management strategies, and physical education activities.
• Provide attentive toddler care and support children with special education needs or those requiring additional early intervention services.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Facilitate activities that enhance social skills, motor development, and cognitive growth while ensuring adherence to childcare standards.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or classroom experience.
• Maintain organized classroom environments that support learning, safety protocols, and compliance with licensing requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methods.
• Experience with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists.
• Ability to plan lessons that incorporate math, physical education, tutoring techniques, and standardized testing preparation when applicable.
• Certification in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; ongoing professional development in childhood care is a plus.
