Daycare Teacher

Responsibilities

• Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development and literacy education.
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
• Engage children in educational activities that promote physical activity, creativity, and social skills, including teaching physical education and preschool skills.
• Support children with special needs through early intervention techniques and individualized attention.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to childcare standards, child welfare policies, and health protocols.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
• Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, daily schedules, and standardized testing when applicable.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management in daycare or preschool settings.
• Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children alike.
• Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is desirable.
