Duties

  • Foster a positive classroom environment by managing behavior effectively and encouraging social interaction among children.
  • Provide comprehensive toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and supporting developmental milestones in childhood development.
  • Use classroom management techniques to maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning space for preschoolers and toddlers.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about child welfare, progress, and classroom activities.
  • Support special education needs by adapting lessons and activities to accommodate children requiring additional assistance.
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor progress and inform lesson planning.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential; classroom experience is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori methods and childhood development stages.
  • Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
  • Familiarity with working with students requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
  • Certification or training in childcare, early childhood education, or related fields is preferred.
  • Ability to work with diverse age groups such as toddlers and preschoolers while maintaining a nurturing environment.
