Daycare Teacher - Floater

Our childcare facility is looking for an additional 'Floater' teacher who can help to create a safe, fun environment and incorporate educational programs that assist in our children’s development.

The Floater will be responsible for:

• covering classes to give teachers breaks
• covering classes when teachers call in sick
• helping out with administrative duties
• working as an assistant teacher when required
• other duties as assigned

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children, parents and colleagues
• Create activities that are fun and educational for the children
• Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child
• Manage day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, lunch time and rest time for students
• Be flexible and a team player

Must have good written and oral communication skills and the ability to establish a positive relationship with parents and children. Must have previous experience working with children.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
