Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional growth.
- Facilitate engaging classroom activities that support toddler care, behavior management, and classroom management strategies.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress through observation, standardized testing where applicable, and ongoing documentation.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's milestones, behavioral updates, and individualized learning goals.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment aligned with childcare standards and child welfare guidelines.
- Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences.
- Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services by adapting lesson plans accordingly.
- Lead physical education activities and promote healthy habits to encourage overall well-being.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education programs for toddlers.
- Familiarity with working with students requiring special education or early intervention services is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment is a plus.
