Daycare Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare team member to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development while working in a collaborative and supportive setting. Candidates with experience in childcare, classroom management, and early childhood education are encouraged to apply.

Duties

• Supervise and care for children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and development
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
• Support children's emotional needs through nurturing interactions and behavior management strategies
• Monitor children's progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's day
• Follow all licensing regulations and safety protocols, including first aid procedures
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care when necessary
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, and caregiving best practices

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings is preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and behavior management techniques is highly desirable
• Experience with infants, toddlers, or children with special needs or disabilities is a plus
• Certification in first aid and CPR will be provided upon your hire, and you will join training and classes as per your availability
• Willingness to obtain certification is expected
• Familiarity with classroom management strategies and caregiving practices that promote safety, learning, and positive behavior is essential
• Background in special education or experience working with children with disabilities will be considered an asset
• A fingerprint and background check are required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
