Daycare Worker/Teacher

In this role, you will engage with children across various age groups, from infants to preschoolers, supporting their developmental milestones through fun, educational activities. We are hiring primarily for our afterschool age group but you would be with different age groups before their arrival.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning, creativity, and social development for children in daycare settings.
• Provide attentive infant and toddler care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being at all times.
• Manage classroom routines efficiently, including snack times, nap schedules, diapering, and transition activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise.
• Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and resolve conflicts constructively.

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar early childhood education environments.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
• Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response to emergencies. (
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
• Ability to adapt activities for different age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and specialists.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
