Daycare Worker/Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Worker/Teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children. In this role, you will support early childhood development by implementing age-appropriate activities, managing classroom routines, and fostering positive behavior. Your enthusiasm and caring nature will help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally during their formative years. Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute educational activities that promote childhood development, including preschool, toddler care, and infant care programs.
  • Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Manage classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, diapering, and transitions between activities with patience and professionalism.
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, attendance, and developmental progress for each child.
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's behavior, milestones, and any concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by administering first aid when necessary and practicing proper hygiene protocols.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred.
  • Must have required 40 clock hour DCF training or have started and will finish within 30 days (free on DCF website)
  • MUST be able to pass a LEVEL 3 background check
  • THIS IS A CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL, must be of Christian background and like faith. DRUG FREE, this is a drug free campus.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to foster positive behavior management strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively with children of various ages including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, team members, and caregivers.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
