Duties

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional development for children in a daycare setting
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and well-being
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity
• Use positive behavior management techniques to guide children’s actions and foster respectful interactions
• Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child’s progress, behavior, and needs

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle multiple children with patience and enthusiasm
• Ability to engage children through creative play, teaching activities, and nurturing interactions
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families
• A genuine passion for caregiving, teaching, and supporting young children’s growth and learning
