Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dayshift Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our compassionate healthcare team. This full-time position from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care across diverse settings, including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. As a vital member of our team, you will deliver personalized nursing services, ensure patient safety, and promote well-being through expert assessments and compassionate support. Your role will be instrumental in creating a positive, healing environment for individuals of all ages, especially seniors and those with complex medical needs.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine individual care needs.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols while maintaining meticulous medical documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
- Manage IV infusions, catheterizations, tube feedings, and ventilator support for patients requiring specialized care such as Skilled or long-term care residents.
- Conduct triage evaluations for incoming patients or residents to prioritize urgent needs and coordinate appropriate interventions promptly.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
- Assist with discharge planning, case management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care across settings such as outpatient clinics or home & community care environments.
- Maintain infection control standards, adhere to HIPAA regulations, and utilize aseptic techniques during procedures like phlebotomy, suturing, or specimen collection.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as PointClickCare for accurate medical documentation.
- Expertise in managing complex medical conditions including infectious diseases, hospice care, and post-acute recovery processes.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology to deliver safe patient-centered nursing care effectively. Join us to make a meaningful difference every day! Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
