Job description:

Position Overview:

• The Dispatcher is responsible for checking in drivers and vehicles. This role involves monitoring routes, communicating with field staff, and responding to changes or emergencies while maintaining accurate records.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor routes and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize schedules.
• Communicate with drivers or field staff to provide updates, directions, or instructions.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve scheduling issues when possible.
• Track service progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Use dispatch software, GPS systems, and communication equipment to track and manage operations.
• Report delays, accidents, or service issues to supervisors promptly.
• Keeping overseeing daytime crew and reporting any issues to supervisor.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer and phone system skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Dispatch or logistics experience preferred
