Daytime Host/Hostess

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage guest flow will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our restaurant.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and maintain an accurate waitlist during busy periods.
• Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
• Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor dining room activity to ensure efficient seating and turnover.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong guest service skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
• A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
